‘Make amateur radio visible’ is the slogan Netherlands society VERON is using for radio amateurs to come out of the shack. Show people amateur radio. And tell them how great this radio hobby still is.
Radio amateurs usually operate from their fixed location to which outsiders have limited access. Result, “amateur radio does it still exist?” How can we radio amateurs expect from the people around us to understand our hobby if radio amateurs keep hiding it for them?
This promotion is now running for 2 years in the Netherlands and the list of publications in local and national media is impressive.
