YB Land DX Club DX-ing Is Our Life
Padang DX Contest (PDXC) 2016 was making a successful history of ORARI Lokal Padang as well as their Contest Manager, Vector Aliendry YB5BOY, who were announcing YB5C agenda few months ago. A short discuss been managed between us with a nice idea from Karsono ‘Endut’ Suyanto YB0NDT to support PDXC as currently appeared as one of DX Contest in YB Land with a full setting by specific rules and none of manual log sheets was accepted. A small team from YBDXC HQ were agreed to help and promoting Padang DX Contest 2016. They are YB0NDT, YC0OST and YD4IRS. Also YB2TJV as one of YBDXC Advisory Board.
Weeks ago mostly on 40M Band was crowded with our Amateur Radio friends whom were joined Padang DX Contest. It started on 1200 UTC (December 17th) with my strikes into the band and making CQ Padang Contest. Pile up for awhile at least 20 minutes then move down. Full of 5 hours joined the contest within some distraction gave me only 132 stations logged on my N1MM included few DX stations. Not bad with a wire antenna and low power output.
A lot of friends covered the portion of 40M Band, challenging themselves to be a winning station and very struggle to achieve that mission. Even i just a casual contest operator and tried to run quite slow, i enjoyed Padang DX Contest so much. I met 9W/9M2 also 9W6 stations, DU and E21 stations. Other friends met some DX stations which had reported by YB5BOY, totally 11 countries was apparently on logged so far. Thank you guys!
Otherwise, Contest Manager was also announcing the stations whom were not present up to Log Submission on the Web. What a pity! So i am concerned with this issue and hope next time none of station was out of dateline to sent their cabrillo log. At some point, the Contest Manager was still accepting the log sheets with excel format.
Anyway, i was really happy with Padang DX Contest and it was my first time as a contest participant as well as busy to help Contest Manager! Thank you so much for let me involved with a great team and got a nice gift from YB5BOY, Padang DX Contest t-shirt which had delivered before the contest.
