After succeeded with DXpedition at OC-221 Ohoiew island in March 2012 – YB8Y, now we are preparing YB9Y for QRV at OC-276 which NEW for IOTA chasers.

Bras Island
Brassi (Bras) island is part of the Mapia atoll, the most outer islands of Indonesia, located in the Pacific Ocean and the countries bordering with Palau. Bras island is part of the government area Noemfoor Biak, Papua province under Supiori regency.
The island is located about 300 KM in the north of the city of Manokwari with coordinates 00 ° 54 ’30.6 “N, 134 ° 19′ 31.2″ East.
Brassi island is a cluster of islands which bordering with Republic of Palau. The distance between Mapia islands with Babelthuap Island (Republic of Palau) is about 390 miles.
Mapia cluster of islands consists of 3 major islands, namely Brassi (Bras), Pegun,and Fanildo.
The islands territory is guarded by a unit of the Navy who have post at Brassi & Fanildo Island and the island is included in the administrative area of the district of West Supiori, Supiori regency, Papua province.
The high diversity of marine biota and natural ecosystems in the Mapia islands provide the prospective opportunities for tourism industry, cultural and historical legacy of the World War II era.

30 Sep 2013 noon : Sending all station equipment to Biak by airfreight service.
18 Oct 2013 noon : Team members and participants already arrived in Jakarta and ready to fly to Biak, Papua.
18 Oct 2013 night : Depart from Jakarta to Biak by airplane ± 6 hours flying time.
19 Oct 2013 morning : Depart from Biak to Bras Island by vessel Papua Lima, ± 18 hours sailing time.
20 Oct 2013 noon : Setting up radio stations and all gears should be ready in ± 18 hours.
20 Oct 2013 12:00 UTC : Starting the IOTA OC-276 DXpedition ! Pile up is begun.
28 Oct 2013 00:00 UTC : Ending of IOTA OC-276 Dxpedition ! Tearing down all equipment.
28 Oct 2013 noon : Depart from Bras Island to Biak by vessel Papua Lima.
29 Oct 2013 night : Arrived at Biak port and go to the hotel for rest.
30 Oct 2013 morning : Sending back all gears to Jakarta by Cargo Service. At noon flying back to Jakarta.
30 Oct 2013 night : Arrived at Jakarta, all participants continue their journey to hometown.

1. All QSL Cards are handled by our Manager – Gjellani Joostman Sutama – YB1GJS.
If you want DIRECT QSLs, you will need to include greenstamps / US$ 2 to cover the cost of the postage to your country. NOTE : If you have worked us on all bands or modes, and you want a separate card for each QSO, please supply US$ 2 / card, to cover the postage for all the cards to your country. QSL Manager will only accept any US Dollars. He cannot accept any currency from other country. Cards will be returned by buro if any other currency is enclosed.
2. All cards sent by BURO will be QSLed via the BURO. QSL Manager will process direct QSLs first and then when the bulk of DIRECT cards are finished he will begin to process the BURO cards.
3. All cards sent with sufficient greenstamps and a Self Address Envelope will be returned direct, as quickly as our QSL Manager can process them.
4. We will do everything possible to avoid sending back a “NOT IN LOG” card.We will check, cross check and look for anything that matches. But we will NOT QSL for a QSO that is not in our logs.
5. VERY IMPORTANT – Be sure to send your direct QSLs to the address given above. Cards sent to different address will be not responded !
