General Information
NCDXA has been an active DX organization since 1972. Based on our past positive experiences with DXPO conferences from 1974 through 1992, we are excited to announce our new DXCC-EAST Convention for Saturday, August 25, 2012. It is our goal to make this an annual event here on the east coast of the United States.
The DXCC-EAST Convention will include presentations by well known DXers and principles that are knowledge of the DX community including participation by the American Radio Relay League (ARRL).

Frederick County Maryland is central to many exciting places to visit before and after the convention. Make the convention visit a tradition. Combine your trip with a Baltimore Orioles (Toronto Blue Jays in town Aug. 24-26, 2012) baseball game, visit the Inner Harbor, ESPN Center or Aquarium, historic district area or take a trip to Washington DC. There will be lots of fun for the whole family.

Testing:
FCC License Examinations: Examinations will be held for all classes of Amateur Radio Licenses on Saturday.
There will be two sessions on Saturday, August 25th starting at 1:00 PM and starting at 2:15 PM in the hotel’s Executive Board Room just outside the convention area
The sessions will be limited to 25 candidates.
All persons must be pre-registered (a few walk-in will be accepted if time permits and test supplies are available)

Remember to bring your photo ID and any CSCEs that you hold along with your pencil, pen, and a photocopy of your current license if you are upgrading. We will provide the ARRL’s NCVEC FORM 605 or you can down load it and fill it out in advance.
ARRL testing fee: $15 cash (Fee effective January 1, 2009.) paid to VE at the time of testing
