The Gili Islands
The Gili Islands are an archipelago of three small islands — Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno and Gili Air — just off the northwest coast of Lombok, Indonesia.
They will be in MO Category, with operator YB9BU , YB3MM , YB8XM , YB9BZ , YB9GV , YB9IUS , YB9KA , YC0OIL , YC9CCS , YC9HIU , YC9JEK , YC9JQZ , YC9JVC , YC9MKF
The islands are a popular destination for Western tourists looking for a remote island experience. Each island has several very small resorts, usually consisting of a small collection of huts for tourists, and a restaurant. Most local inhabitants live on Trawangan in a township stretching along its east side just inland (which is also where most recent development is taking place). Automobiles and motorized traffic are prohibited on the islands by local ordinance, so the preferred method of transportation is bicycle or the horse-drawn carriage called a cidomo. Diving in and around the Gilis is also popular due to the abundance of fish life and attractive coral formations.

Gili Trawangan :
Gili Trawangan is a small island just off the northwest coast of Lombok Island, and east of Bali Island.
Gili Trawangan is a popular destination for Western tourists looking for a remote island experience. Many budget accomodation until high class resorts are also available. Automobiles and motorized traffic are prohibited on the islands by local ordinance, so the preferred method of transportation is bicycle or the horse-drawn carriage called a cidomo. Diving and snorkelling in and around the island are also popular due to the abundance of fish life and attractive coral formations.
Gili Trawangan has also a huge range of eating option from simple warungs up to fairly grand places serving inventive modern cuisine. Barbecued fish is excellent here. The deal is that we can choose the fish – red and white snapper and trevally are specially good – and it is grilled on the spot. There are regular party night on Gili Trawangan hosting until late night (up to 4 am).
Gili Trawangan is more than just Paradise !!!
