The group will operate many stations from the lighthouse keeper’s quarters on all bands (SSB, CW and RTTY, PSK63) before and after de contest. A station will be dedicated on 6m. The group will operate ONLY in SSB and CW on 10, 15, 20, 40 and 80m DURING the contest. If you need NA128 for the IOTA 50th ANNIVERSARY MARATHON, work us DURING the contest!
Built in 1809, the Ile Verte lighthouse is the oldest in the St-Laurence River and the third oldest in Canada. It was declared an historical monument in 1976 by The Historic Sites and Monuments Board of Canada. A special stamp showing the lighthouse was released by Canada Post in 1984. The lighthouse is 54 feet high and is the main attraction on the island. It is open to the public and there is also an inn where you can stay overnight.
